Delivering the website

For a page to reach you, the server necessarily processes your IP address and the information your browser sends with every request (such as the requested address, your preferred language and the browser identifier). This data is used only for the duration of the request and is not stored: the web server keeps no access log.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in being able to deliver the website. Your browser’s preferred language is only used to send you to the German or English version when you open who2be.de.

Hosting

The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in the Falkenstein data center (Germany). Hetzner processes the data on my behalf; a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner.

No cookies, no analytics

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics tools. It embeds no content from other providers — no fonts, no videos, no maps — and stores nothing in your browser.

Links lead to other services, such as the source code on GitHub. Their own privacy policies apply to those services. For using the application itself, its own privacy policy applies.

Contact by email

If you send me an email, I process your address and the content to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or (b) for questions about a contract). I delete the message once the request has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligation applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21). To exercise them, contact the address above.

Supervisory authority

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
